From blast preparation to post-blast inspection
Controlled blasting is a disciplined sequence — not a single event. Here is how we prepare, charge and execute production blasts on quarry and mining sites.
Step 01
Step 02Bench ready for blast
Drilled holes, collar positions, burden, spacing and stemming requirements are checked so the bench is ready for a controlled production blast.
Step 03Blasting in progress
The blast is fired under controlled exclusion zones and site communication, with the sequence managed to protect people, equipment and nearby structures.
Step 04Evidence of a successful blast
The result is checked against the plan: fragmentation, muck pile shape and bench condition show whether the shot has delivered productive material for loading and crushing.
Step 05Post-blast inspection
After clearance, the team inspects oversize, back-break, high-risk ground and access conditions, then records lessons that improve the next blast round.
